“New Beginnings”

Tuesday, May 11th, 2010

Life is full of new beginnings. Most of us begin new endeavors with hope and commitment to them. It is our sincere hope that your commitment to the Stepping Stones Together program will provide you and your child with many positive memories of learning to read together. We are honored to help you embark on this journey.

The name Stepping Stones Together evolved from thinking about childhood memories involving our parents. Think back to a positive childhood memory with your own parents. Most of us have at least a few vivid childhood memories involving our parents. These memories vary from family to family and person to person. However, our memories usually include some of the traditions, habits, and pivotal moments that make up our lives. The memories we formed around time spent talking and doing things with our parents mattered to us then and remain important to us now. Meaningful experiences we have with our parents become a part of us and shape who we become as adults.

Stepping Stones Together was created to foster a meaningful memory for a child taking steps towards developing early reading skills with their parents. We believe that having parents share in teaching beginning reading skills to their child will help create lasting positive reading habits.

Maria Robinson eloquently shared, “You cannot go back and start a new beginning but anyone can start today and make a new beginning.” We love this quote and know you are on your way to starting a wonderful beginning reading program with your child!

Stepping Stones Together beginning reading program was a labor of love for all involved in the process.

Thank you for trusting us to help you create lasting positive memories with your child.
